Hey this looks cool, but what is a CSA?

It is like a weekly veggie subscription directly from our farm!

CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture”.

How many weekly CSA veggie bags do I get?

20 weeks of veggie bags.

June - October with a veggie bag pick up every week.

What comes in my CSA veggie bag?

The weekly CSA veggie bag will include a delicious mix of 6-11 of the following depending on the season (packed in a paper grocery bag):

Beans, Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Celery, Chard, Chives, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Fennel, Herbs (variety), Kale, Kohlrabi, Leeks, Lettuces, Onions, Radishes, Rhubarb, Scallions, Tomatoes (large and cherry varieties), Turnips, Asian Greens, Parsley, Peppers, Potatoes, Pumpkins (Pie), Winter and Summer Squash, Zucchini, and more!

We also include:

Organic mushrooms from River Valley Ranch & Kitchens, Burlington WI.

Organic potatoes (in the fall) from Igl Farms, Antigo, WI.

How will I know what to expect each week?

On Tuesday each week you will receive an email listing veggies you can expect in your bag.

How are the vegetables grown?

• Grown from organic seeds

• Seedlings are grown in organic seed starting mix

• The land is not tilled (this naturally increases soil fertility, water retention, and decreases soil erosion) 

• Pests are managed through crop rotation and crop row covers. No pesticides are used.

• No herbicides (we weed by hand)

Where and when do I pick up the CSA veggie bag?

(You pick your day, time and location.)

On the farm:

Inside the Brunner Family Forest Preserve

Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays

10:00am - 6:00pm

Glenwood Sunday Market:

Rogers Park on Glenwood Avenue between Lunt and Morse.

Sundays

9:00am - 2:00pm

What if there is a time I have to pick up on a different day?

Life happens! Just give us a heads up and we will do our best to accommodate.
